Groomed Bugsy

We went to visit Bugsy in her new home yesterday, showing Genny how to groom her.  Bugsy looked great, seems to be thriving.  It's always a pleasure to see one of our retired showgirls happy in her role as "Queen Bee".  Genny and Gary have a new English Setter, so Bugsy will have a four legged buddy to boss around too :->

Much cooler today!

After a record 105 degrees yesterday, it is only 75 today!!  Feels like Fall, and the dogs are running and playing without panting, getting a drink every few minutes.  We went to the Western Idaho Fair this afternoon, watched the draft horse "hitch" competition... ate a corn dog with mustard slathered all over, corn on the cob, and on a friend's recommendation, an "elephant ear" with honey... the honey was maybe a bit over the top....

HOT!! today

It's hot, hot, hot today - like 105degrees, and the weatherman is forecasting a storm... but those silly dogs are still running around in the back yard... I call them in, suggest they settle down, cool down, and pretty quick, back out the doggy door they go!!

"Scout"

I've been thinking about "Scout" -- he's a great puppy, just turned 8 months old.  Nice personality, outgoing.  We'd like to place him in a pet home where he could be "king of the hill".  Miniature Schnauzers are so adaptable - love him, give him attention, he'd move right in in a heartbeat!

I think starting with 8" x 9 1/2" is about right, then folding and folding just so.

Trying to make up my mind on the puppies, whether they are truly show quality or 'almost'... I think if the right pet home came along.....
